Booking and Planning your stay at KMF

We book out KMF Ski Lodge as a whole lodge accommodation option, so no need to share with strangers, you will have the whole place to yourself. There is a fixed fee for a 7 day booking and you can sleep up to 14 people in the Lodge, however 4 people need to be little as the bunk beds are not ideal for a fully grown adult !!

Accomodation Details

Here are some details for your trip

Lodge Bookings

We make the lodge available from a Saturday to a Saturday, check in is 3pm and checkout is 11am. The whole lodge booking rate is $6,500 AUD for the week, but for 7 nights accommodation with up to 14 guests, this is only $77 per night per person, which is significantly cheaper than accommodation up in the resorts

How to get there

Depending on which airport you fly into, you need to get to Tokyo Central Station. From there you catch the Shinkansen (bullet train), to Joetsu Myoko Station. This is a great place to pick up a rental car (see section below), but you can also catch the local train to Sekiyama station and then you are 50 meters from KMF Ski Lodge. We can provide more details if you are not familiar with Train Travel in Japan.

Car Rental

While you can get to our lodge without a car, it is going to be essential for getting to the resorts and also for travelling to dinner locations. Car Rental during the winter months is usually fully booked out, although we know some locals who can help if you can't get a booking !!.

Ski Rental

While you can hire at the slopes and in particular in Akakura Onsen, there is a local Ski Rental located about 500m from the lodge just on Highway 18 opposite the 7 Eleven. Prices are cheaper here than in the resorts, so we recommend you hire locally, the locals will appreciate it.
